Fans and players alike have taken to social media to share their thoughts following Woking’s triumph over local rivals Aldershot Town on Boxing Day. Here is what the players have had to say.
Goalscorer John Goddard tweeted his delight at the victory to his 584 followers:
“What a great feeling scoring the winner in a local derby 🔥. Huge effort from all the boys, hope the fans enjoyed it ⚽️🔴⚪️ #WFC #Goals” – @johnnygoddard01
Joey Jones, who made the Non-League Paper’s team of the day, posted a picture of the team celebrating and a message praising the travelling fans on Instagram. He said:
“Great Derby win yesterday ⚽️⚽️ fans were unreal! Onto tomorrow’s game now 👊🏻 #winning #cards #flying” – Joey_25
On-loan Matt Robinson took to Twitter to share his delight of the victory, but also reflected on the chance he missed to make it 2-0:

Bruno Andrade, who has enjoyed a recent upturn in form, Tweeted out the lyrics to a famous Woking song:

Giuseppe Sole, who won the derby last season with a wonder goal, shared an image of himself and John Goddard and praised his team mate:
