Dan Holman described his Woking debut as ‘brilliant’ after scoring The Cards’ second goal and picking up the man of the match award in a 2-0 victory vs Altrincham.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Cards late on Friday night on a month-long loan from League One side Colchester United, doubled Woking’s lead at Kingfield after Giuseppe Sole opened the scoring.
Following the game, the ex-Aldershot Town and Dover Athletic loanee told BBC Surrey:
“When you are playing with good players, it is a lot easier to fit in.
“I’ve been to a few Conference clubs and based on that performance today they (Woking) looked very strong. I think the key is the strong defence. They (Woking) work really hard off of the ball and are strongly defensively, which is key in any league. ”

Holman admitted that speaking to Cards gaffer Garry Hill was key in his decision to sign for Woking.
“I spoke to him (Garry Hill) late last night and was really impressed with the things he was saying. He clinched it for me.”
The U’s striker was Hill’s second signing of the week after QPR youngster Ben Pattie also joined the club on a month-long loan deal.
