“I Won’t Rush Signings” – Hill

By Jacob Greenwood

Woking manager Garry Hill reflected on his side’s pre-season victory at Clarence Park by confirming his squad was not yet completed.

The Cards gaffer saw his side win 1-0 at St Albans City thanks to a Scott Rendell penalty before explaining he was still looking to bring personnel to the club. He told BBC Surrey:

“We are still a bit light at the moment. There is [still room for] a wide player to come in and another forward with pace. But I won’t panic and I won’t rush.”

Reflecting on pre-season as whole, where The Cards won two and lost three, Hill commented:

“I’ve seen some positives and I’ve seen some negatives, but It think that is what you see in pre-season games.

“It’s nice to go in to your first league game with a win under your belt.

“We are looking to get off to a good start and we will go from there.”

Woking travel to Prenton Park on Saturday where they get their National League campaign under way with a tough test against newly relegated Tranmere Rovers.
