Word on the Tweet – Woking sign Poku and Hamann

Card’s boss Garry Hill has wasted no time in beginning to build his squad for the new season with the signings of Godfrey Poku and Nick Hamann on one-year deals.

24-year-old Poku, who picked up four awards at previous club Telford United’s end of season ceremony, is a strong central midfielder and is described as a ‘box-to-box’ player.

The Cards also wrapped up the signing of goalkeeper Nick Hamann on Saturday. The 27-year-old comes from Braintree Town and will provide healthy competition to recently retained Jake Cole.

Nick took to Twitter to talk of his excitement of signing for Woking and to thank Braintree for his time there.
