Betting preview – Woking v Dover Athletic

By Jacob Greenwood

Woking play their second game in three days when they take on Dover Athletic at Kingfield on Monday afternoon as The Cards search for their first home win of the season.

Garry Hill’s side have now picked up three consecutive draws after a late Adam Newton header denied Welling United all three points at Park View Road on Saturday.

Newly promoted Dover visited Kingfield in buoyant mood following their first victory of the season over Conference South champions, Eastleigh.

The Cards, who remain unbeaten, go into the game favourites with SkyBet offering 3/4 for a home victory.

With draws to Dartford, Macclesfield and Welling already this season for Woking, Bet365 are offering 11/4 for it to end all even.

Dover come into the game off the back of a 2-1 victory at home to Eastleigh. The visitors are best priced 18/5 at BetFred.

With Woking’s last three games ending with less than 2.5 goals another market to look at is the total goals scored. BWIN are offering under 2.5 goals at evens.

Dover Athletic reporter Jack O’Sullivan predicts –
Woking 0-1 Dover Athletic, goalscorer Stefan Payne. Buoyed by an impressive four points picked up against Grimsby and Eastleigh, I think our first win of the season will be rapidly followed by our second. Payne was impressive and got on the scoresheet against Eastleigh, but I predict a low-scoring affair settled by just one goal. Payne has the ability and hunger to lead our front-line this season and will be full of confidence going into the game.

You can back Jack’s prediction at BetVictor who are offering a very generous 13-1.

Everything Woking FC predicts –
Woking 3 Dover 1 – Woking have been playing well in recent weeks but are failing to find the final pass. I think this could chance on Monday and if they can take the lead then I think that will fill the team with confidence. Scott Rendell always looks likely to score but Theo Lewis, who had a couple of chances on Saturday, might also be of danger to Dover.
You can back Everything WFC’s prediction at Ladbrokes who are offering 15-1
